About This Commodity

New vehicles, including passenger vehicles, cargo vehicles, golf carts, all terrain vehicles, utility vehicles, etc. 

The University utilizes the State of Missouri contract for the purchase of ALL new vehicles.  Any exceptions would need to discussed with Procurement prior to obtaining a buyers order from a dealer. 

Titling and licensing for all vehicles is processed centrally in the UM Procurement office.  All other paperwork requiring signature is also signed by an authorized representative in the UM Procurement office.

New vans with a capacity of 12-15 passengers must receive approval from University of Missouri Risk and Insurance

 

Payment and Processing Methods

  • The University has the ability to access group purchasing cooperatives for some items.  Contact the Strategic Sourcing Specialist listed for assistance.
  • If purchasing from a contracted supplier, bids and sole source justification are not required.  
  • Purchases over $10,000 and NOT from a contracted supplier, will require competitive bidding with detailed specifications prepared by UM Procurement.  Submit a PeopleSoft non-catalog Requisition and attach specifications, or contact the Strategic Sourcing Specialist listed for assistance.
