Gift Cards

Gift Card purchases are allowed to the extent they are governed by an established program and the expense is reasonable and necessary to carry out the mission of the University. 

 

Gift Cards must be purchased through the contracted supplier in Show Me Shop, or from a University bookstore location. 

 

See attached Processes document for additional explanations on the approval, ordering and distribution processes.

 

 

Nasal Naloxone

Nasal Naloxone is used to treat opioid overdose by temporarily reversing the effects of opioid medicines and drugs. The University of Missouri System has established a pre-qualified list of contracted suppliers for Nasal Naloxone. 

Batteries

Various types and services of batteries may be acquired through several contracted suppliers through Show Me Shop.  Purchases outside of Show Me Shop and less than $5,000 may be purchased using the University One Card. Purchases between $5,000 and $10,000 require a PeopleSoft Requisition.

Dental Equipment and Supplies

Dental Equipment and Supplies for research and educational purposes, and for patient care needs.  The University has established contracts with multiple companies to provide dental supplies. 

Purchases from the following companies are available through Show Me Shop.

  • Henry Schein

The University of Missouri has established a pre-qualified list of suppliers for Dental Equipment and Supplies.  See the included list. 

 

Sam's Club

Before making a purchase from Sam's Club, departments should check the Show Me Shop catalogs for the item(s) needed, or consult with a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to determine if another option for purchase exists. If no other source is available, orders may be placed following the campus specific processes.

Promotional Items

Promotional items may include items such as t-shirts, coffee mugs, mouse pads, pens, and other small dollar items given to promote an event or department. 

The University of Missouri System has established a pre-qualified list of suppliers for Promotional Products.  See the included list for each respective campus.  Departments are strongly encouraged to use a supplier on one of these lists.

Animals - Lab

Lab Animals, primarily small animals used for research. 

Lab Animals purchases must be approved by the respective Campus Lab Animal Research Center Office. Consult your Campus office for related policies/procedures. 

 

Apparel, Uniforms & Fabrics

Apparel or uniforms worn by staff or students, or fabrics used for various University related projects.

Apparel that will contain any campus logo, symbols, institutional names, or other identifying marks, please refer to the respective trademark licensing office.
