Each campus Environmental Safety office maintains a radioisotope license.  In accordance with this license, all radioisotopes MUST be shipped to the respective Environmental Safety Department.  The purchase of radioactive materials shall be made only for those having an active authorization issued by Environmental Health and Safety and/or the Campus Radiation Safety Committee for the material, quantity and form being requested.

Purchases for Unique Artwork, Collectibles and other items found in libraries, museums, etc.

Musical equipment and supplies generally purchased for a School of Music Department such as instruments, uniforms, and music. 

Athletic equipment, supplies and services - including fitness equipment, athletic apparel and shoes, scoreboards, flooring, protective gear, and related services specific to Athletic departments.  May also include any athletic associated equipment, supplies or services for university departments. 

The University of Missouri has established a list of contracted suppliers for some athletic equipment.  See the included list. 

Office supplies, paper and toner, non-furniture items.

Ergonomic Furniture - including but not limited to chairs, and other ADA accomodation furniture, etc.

If the item(s) attach to the wall/floor/ facility, or has an electrical component, the respective campus facilities department must review and approve PRIOR to purchase.

Lab furniture, including workstations, stools, chairs, etc.  Does not include lab equipment.

Veterinary Equipment, Supplies, Services &  Pharmaceuticals used at research facilities and for student educational purposes.

Insurance requirements – Any supplier who is performing work on University property MUST have a current certificate of insurance on file with UM Procurement. Contact UM Procurement before proceeding with any of this type of work.
