Office Equipment and Supplies

Office supplies, paper and toner should be purchased from a contracted supplier through Show Me Shop whenever possible.  Purchases outside of Show Me Shop and less than $5,000 may be purchased with the University OneCard. Purchases between $5,000 and $10,000 require a PeopleSoft requisition.  

Furniture - Ergonomic

Ergonomic furniture should be purchased from a contracted supplier when available.   Any furniture which attaches to the wall/floor/facility, or has an electrical component, contact your campus facilities department for review and approval PRIOR to purchase.  Purchases over $10,000 require competitive quotes, or written bid requests with detailed specifications prepared by UM Procurement.

Furniture - Lab

Some lab furniture has been pre-approved and is available through Show Me Shop.  If the item(s) needed are not available through Show Me Shop, or attaches to the wall/floor/ facility, or has an electrical component, you must contact your campus facilities department for review and approval PRIOR to purchase.

Furniture - Office

Some office furniture has been pre-approved and is available through Show Me Shop.  If the item(s) needed are not available through Show Me Shop, or attaches to the wall/floor/ facility, or has an electrical component, you must contact your campus facilities department for review and approval PRIOR to purchase.

Furniture purchases must be paid via purchase order, the One Card is not allowed. Submit a PeopleSoft non-catalog requisition and attach any accompanying information about the transaction (order form, quote, sole source justification, etc) PRIOR to purchase.

Chemicals - Industrial & Lab

Chemicals used for industrial or lab research purposes should be purchased from a contracted supplier through Show Me Shop whenever possible. 

Purchases outside of Show Me Shop and less than $5,000 may be purchased using the University One Card. Purchases between $5,000 and $10,000 require a PeopleSoft Requisition.

Dental Equipment & Supplies

Dental Equipment and Supplies should be purchased from a contracted supplier through Show Me Shop whenever possible. Purchases outside of Show Me Shop and less than $5,000 may be purchased using the University One Card. Purchases between $5,000 and $10,000 require a PeopleSoft Requisition.

Purchased Services (tangible services)

Professional Services or Purchased Services -  where the end result is the acquisition of goods or services must be processed through Supply Chain on a PeopleSoft Requisition.  If the cost exceeds $10,000, a competitive bid process must be followed, or sufficient sole source justification will need to be submitted PRIOR to the good or services being received. 

Parking Equipment, Supplies & Services

Parking equipment and supplies primarily for use by Parking offices, but may be needed by other operations should be purchased from a contracted supplier through Show Me Shop whenever possible. Purchases outside of Show Me Shop and less than $5,000 may be purchased using the University One Card. Purchases between $5,000 and $10,000 require a PeopleSoft Requisition.
